SIGNING OF BOOK OF CONDOLENCE IN MEMORY OF WELLINGTON FIRE VICTIMS, 8TH NOVEMBER, 2021
A three-day mourning was declared by His Excellency the President, Dr. Julius Maada Bio from 8 -10 November 2021, following the tragic death of several Sierra Leoneans due to a fuel tanker explosion at Wellington Freetown on 5th November 2021.
Accordingly, the Sierra Leone Mission in Turkey opened a Book of Condolence in memory of those who lost their lives in the inferno.
The Head of Mission and Staff of the Sierra Leone Embassy signed the Book of Condolence and offered special prayer for those who died in the fire disaster and wished those hospitalised a speedy recovery.
Diplomats in Turkey also sympathized with the Mission and signed the Book of Condolence.
Representatives of the following countries signed the Book of Condolence in person whilst others singed it remotely.
