Strong Energy Pays Courtesy Call on Ambassador Anderson, Eyes Expanded Partnership with Sierra Leone

Istanbul, Türkiye, Friday 20 February 2026 – During the week-long working visit to Istanbul, the country’s commercial hub, Strong Energy Industry & Trade Ltd Company has paid a courtesy call on Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to Türkiye, Her Excellency Francess Virginia Anderson, expressing its desire to strengthen partnership with the Government of Sierra Leone.

Strong Energy, a leading Turkish lubricants company, is primarily engaged in the production, wholesale, import and export of mineral oils, automotive lubricants and related petroleum derivatives. The company manufactures a wide range of products including motor and gear oils, hydraulic and industrial oils, greases, antifreeze and coolant products, as well as base oils and other petroleum derivatives.

Speaking during the meeting, Export Sales Manager Mr. Amr Elhennawy disclosed that the company has been operating in Sierra Leone for the past six to seven years, recording an estimated trade volume of about US$600,000. He noted that Strong Energy exports to more than 50 countries worldwide, serving both domestic and international markets.

“We want to expand our business in Sierra Leone; that is why we are seeking this partnership with the Government,” Mr. Elhennawy stated, emphasizing the company’s commitment to deepening its footprint in the West African nation.

In her response, Ambassador Anderson thanked Mr. Elhennawy and commended the company’s interest in Sierra Leone. She reiterated that Sierra Leone is open and ready for business, encouraging the company to visit the country for high-level engagements with key stakeholders in the business and investment sectors.

The Ambassador highlighted the role of the National Investment Board (NIB) in promoting trade and investment, noting that the institution provides guidance and services to foreign investors.

“I am inviting you to Sierra Leone this year. I can assure you that your business is safe,” Ambassador Anderson concluded, reaffirming the Government’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for private sector growth and international partnerships.
