Sierra Leone’s First Lady Arrives Istanbul Ahead Of International Zero Waste Forum

stanbul Artatük Airport, Friday 17 October, 2025 - Sierra Leone’s First Lady, Her Excellency Dr. Fatima Maada Bio, and delegation, has arrived in Istanbul to participate in the International Zero Waste Forum.

The International Zero Waste Forum will gather global leaders, experts and decision-makers to discuss the past, present and future of zero waste.

Dr. Fatima Maada Bio is an Eminent member of the United Nations Zero Waste Advisory Board on Climate Change and Zero Waste.

The Forum will host participants from 104 countries, including 118 international partner organizations, mayors, ambassadors and senior representatives from numerous international institutions such as the U.N., UN-Habitat, UNEP and U.N. Development Programme (UNDP).

The First Lady was received by Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to Türkiye, Her Excellency Francess Virginia Anderson.
