Sierra Leone Embassy In Ankara Joins Congregation At The Redeemed Christian Church For A Thanksgiving Service

Redeemed Christian Church, Ankara, Türkiye -* The leadership of the Sierra Leone Embassy in Türkiye, Her Excellency Ambassador Francess Virginia Anderson, PhD, and staff members have joined the congregation at the Redeemed Christian Church, also known as the Christ the King’s Parish, CKP, to give thanks to God Almighty, for provision, protection, and guidance, among others.

The thanksgiving was a special service that focused on giving thanks to God, sharing testimonies of God's grace, creating gratitude for provisions, direction at all levels, and strengthening relationships. The practice is rooted in a deep understanding of God's love and provision.

During the sermon, Pastor in Charge of CKP, Shola Ogunjide, delivered his message referencing Isaiah 41-10:
“Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

Analyzing the context of the text in Isaiah 41-10, Pastor Shola told the congregation that the verse is a promise of God's presence, support, and salvation; adding that God was speaking to the Israelites, comforting them in their distress and assuring them of His presence and help.

Pastor Shola assured that "Fear Not" is a call to trust in God rather than being afraid, and an assurance indicating God's presence with His people.

“Fear Not is a powerful message demonstrating God’s plan and protection, it is a means of reconciliation with God”, Pastor Shola noted.

In a short statement, Her Excellency Ambassador Francess Virginia Anderson, PhD, thanked the pastorate of CKP, saying that it was an honour to be given such an opportunity to her Embassy to celebrate an achievement she said only God made possible.

Ambassador Anderson further noted that as a fervent believer of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, she believed that all things worked together for good to those who love God, and to those who are called according to His purpose.

She urged all believers to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, so that other blessings would be added to them.

“Thank you pastor, and the entire church, we will continue to give God thanks for His abundant grace and blessings”, she concluded.
