Sierra Leone Ambassador To Türkiye Mohamed Hassan Kai-Samba Participates in First Lady Emine Erdoğan International Volunteer Day, Interacts With The African Diplomatic Corps In Ankara

 

 

 

 

 

Ankara, Türkiye, Tuesday 6th December 2022 - Sierra Leone Ambassador to Türkiye Mohamed Hassan Kai-Samba has participated in First Lady Emine Erdoğan International Volunteer Day, and has interacted and renewed Sierra Leone’s commitment with other African missions in Türkiye.

The Voluntary Envoys is a Social Development Project, carried out by the Ministry of Family and Social Policies, and it is also a social responsibility project aimed at raising awareness about and promoting “volunteering”, and addressing the human resource needs that will contribute to social development.

First Lady Emine Erdoğan noted that over the last decade Türkiye has opened a new chapter in the history of the world with its African Initiative Policy, saying that their institutions such as TIKA, AFAD, Turkish Red Crescent and Maarif Foundation have exerted concrete efforts for Africa’s development, which she said were offering services in a wide range of areas from healthcare to education, and providing durable support for political, social and economic change.

“Türkiye has become Africa’s voice in the international arena, working for the establishment of peace and stability in the continent. Our entrepreneurs have also made investments in Africa that would serve as the key to development”, she concluded.

Ambassador Kai-Samba and other African Ambassadors handed over a book containing the major proverbs of of their countries, which the Turkish First Lady promised to place in her museum and published same in her next book.
