AMBASSADOR KAISAMBA ENGAGES THREE TURKISH INFLUENTIAL GROUPS ON INVESTMENT IN SIERRA LEONE, 6TH OCTOBER, 2021

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sierra Leone's Ambassador to Turkey, His Excellency Mohamed Hassan Kaisamba on Thursday 6th October 2021 discussed investment opportunities in Sierra Leone with Turkish influential business people. The discussions focused on the bilateral relationship between Sierra Leone and Turkey in the areas of Education, Technology, and Agriculture amongst others.

Mr. ZEKI GÜVERÇIN President, of the International Trade and Education Forum, commenced the meeting after the Ambassador made the usual pleasantries. He informed that there is no formal and organized manner in receiving foreign students in Turkey to proceed with their studies in Turkish Universities hence, the formation of the International Trade and Education Forum. The organization will look into all challenges that foreign students may be confronted with. This coordinated arrangement will save students from Sierra Leone and other countries.

In his remark, Mr. KAMIL DEMIRKAPU Chief Executive Officer of FLY BVLOS Technology said his institution does not only undertake the production of drones but also provides capacity building in that direction. He also stated that several engagements will be made with Universities and Industrial cooperation on how to pursue this course.

He projected that the use of drones will expand rapidly in the next ten to twenty years as the cost of air space is becoming more expensive. The experts of this technology are ready to impart knowledge to interested partners in Sierra Leone. "Partnership with Sierra Leone will help in the human resource capacity development of the youth in your country," he said. He concluded his remark by stating the importance and development of drones worldwide.

KEREM ILENGIR, Chairman of Board of Istanbul Sun General Trading LLC also stated that his organization is in the food security process and they have signed an MoU with Seaboard West Africa Flower Mill in Sierra Leone as they are going to build a new twenty (20) metric tons pilot storage for wheat as food security is of paramount importance in the world. He said his organization is open to share technology as food security is very crucial in most countries.

Ambassador Kaisamba in his contribution said, he was honored for the working visit and stated that he will support the IFTE to the fullest as Education is the flagship programme of the President of the Republic of Sierra Leone. He said that without human capital development any government cannot manage its infrastructure well as the technical know-how will not be available.

For the talented kids or youths, Ambassador Kaisamba stated that Sierra Leone youths have talent but the means of getting opportunities to develop their desired talent is the problem. He continued that with this partnership lots of talents will be utilized and this will be of immense benefit to the Government and people of Sierra Leone.

"Sierra Leone will be more than happy to grab this opportunity and with the vibrancy of the relationship between both countries, Sierra Leone will gain a lot out of it by ensuring that the human capital development of the country is achieved in line with the President’s agenda.
