Ambassador Anderson Welcomes First Batch of Investors as Embassy in Türkiye Drives Economic Engagement

Freetown, Sierra Leone, 4 May, 2026 — Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to Türkiye, Her Excellency Francess Virginia Anderson, PhD, has accompanied and welcomed the first batch of Turkish investors to Sierra Leone, marking a significant step in ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral economic ties and attract foreign direct investment.

The visit, facilitated by the Sierra Leone Embassy in Türkiye, highlights the Mission’s expanding role as a strategic economic hub in advancing Sierra Leone–Türkiye relations. In accordance with diplomatic protocol, the investors’ first official engagement was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, which coordinates the activities of Sierra Leone’s missions abroad.
