Ankara, 22 October 2024 - In a formal ceremony held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ankara, the newly appointed Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Sierra Leone to Türkiye, H.E Dr. Mrs. Francess Virginia Anderson, presented an Open Letters to the Director of Protocol, Ambassador Ahmet Cemil Miroğlu. This important diplomatic tradition marks the official recognition of the Ambassador’s appointment by the host nation, paving the way for strengthened bilateral relations.

According to Turkish diplomatic protocol, the Director of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs holds the responsibility of receiving open letters for Ambassadors-designate to Türkiye. This role is crucial in upholding the formalities of international relations and ensuring that the credentials of foreign diplomats are processed in accordance with Turkish nomenclature and established diplomatic procedures.
